Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about showbiz history, publicity, screen storytelling, celebrity culture and entertainment formats. A strong proposal has a defined question and a reason it will interest readers beyond the latest news cycle.
What to pitch
Send an original angle that can be explained with reliable, checkable material. Useful subjects include how a convention developed, what a format makes possible, or how a public image is presented. Avoid gossip, unsupported allegations, recycled plot summaries and pitches that depend on access you do not have.
Make the proposal specific
Include a working title, the central point, the evidence or sources you expect to use, and a brief note on why the piece is suited to Select Showbiz Review. Mention any relevant conflicts of interest and whether the idea has been offered elsewhere.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial reason for writing. A pitch is not a commission; wait for agreement before drafting a full article. Do not include confidential material or personal information that is not needed to assess the idea.
Showbiz is made, not merely watched
Behind every public image is a set of choices. We look at those choices without treating rumour as fact or spectacle as the whole story.
